Hands down the best boarding experience I’ve had in the Austin/Elgin area. Annie is responsive, reliable and clearly loves animals. Rate are more than fair, flexible pick-up/drop off times, and my dog is always taken care of. She doesn’t do group activities, so there is no concern about negative interactions with other dogs. Location is close to my house. Could not be happier to have Annie looking after Griff. Absolute peace of mind!
My dog, Pecos, loves Annie and Wagging Tail Retreat! I will always board my dog here when going out of town. Annie provides lots of outdoor playtime and human interaction. It makes me feel so much better to board him here versus at a vet where most of his time is in a kennel. When we go to the vet Pecos gets very nervous and his tail stays down. But when we go to Wagging Tail his tail is really wagging!!! :)
It is also right here in Bastrop County on highway 95, so you don’t have to drive your pup all the way to Austin for a decent boarding experience.
I’ve used Wagging Tail Retreat multiple times now, and every experience has been consistently excellent. It’s such a relief knowing I have a safe, reliable, and caring place to leave my dog whenever I travel. My dog is genuinely excited every time we arrive, which says a lot!
They take amazing care of him, and I really appreciate the updates while I’m away. It’s clear that they go above and beyond to make sure the dogs are comfortable, well-fed, and get plenty of attention and playtime.
